Salvation Army: Back Pack Fundraiser

Cardinal LG, Amery will be assisting the Salvation Army of Polk County and other local businesses to provide food for children in need in our community. These efforts provide supplies to roughly eighty backpacks per week.

Our facility will be collecting funds and boxed/ single serve Mac & Cheese (off-brand is acceptable as well). This is an easy meal to cook, easy to store, and allows for more room in the bag for other foods. These backpacks are intended to supply enough food for one week to single children but are also shared amongst multi-sibling residents within the community.

In addition to the Mac, AMLG will be donating $2,500.00 to the cause. The Salvation Army has partnered with a local discount grocer who will allow for ever $1.00 spent to hold the value of $7.00!

If you’d like to participate, please bring your food items to my office or to your shift manager – we will have an area in the breakroom to drop items off in the coming days. If you prefer to donate funds, please deliver it to myself or to your SM.

All donations received will be brought to the Amery Fire Hall on June 9, 2023.
